BEGINNER TO ADVANCED CLAY

Ages 17 – Adult
 
Learn the fundamentals of hand building for both beginner and advanced students. Slab, pinch, coil and drape techniques will be utilized to produce individual clay works. Introductory class includes a 25lb bag of white stoneware. Clay tools and glazes are the responsibility of each student. Individual expression and exploration are strongly encouraged.

Classes are ongoing for experienced clay artists. The above dates apply to new students only. Clay artists are welcome to join in at any time.

Class is for those with some degree of flexibility. Emphasis is on core strengthening, increased flexibility and proper breathing for health. Hatha Flow, Kundalini, Yin and Yang Yoga philosophy taught in this class.  
 
 
Gentle Yoga For Lunch - All Level (Starts September 1, 2010)

Gentle Yoga for Lunch is structured to increase your breathing capacity by bringing your body back to its natural breathing rhythm. By doing just that, you will learn to relax and allow your muscles to release, gaining increased flexibility with very gentle stretching. Even better, all postures or stretches are done from a seated or a reclining position and are very relaxing, basic Yoga poses for everyone, at any level.
 
Each class ends with a relaxing meditation. Please arrive a few minutes early to unwind before class. Bring a Yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. All classes are a minimum *$8.00 donation per class, pay as you go. Harris Arts Center members may make a minimum donation of only $ 7.00.
 
*In lieu of a price increase for classes in 2010, we have changed to a minimum donation policy. Any additional donations above the minimum $ 8.00 per class donation fee are not expected but certainly appreciated on occasion or whenever possible.

 Wine Making 101

This is a six week course that teaches you everything about making your own wine from A to Z. At the end of the class you will go home with 15 bottles of your own wine. Bill will supply the equipments but students supply their own fruit.

Learn how to properly frost and decorate a cake with writing. Each student will leave class with their own personal 6” decorated cake.
